PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME!!! \nBelow is a personal message from Tiffany\, please read to learn about why this is such a special cause!  \nMy name is Tiffany Rich and I was diagnosed at birth with Cystic Fibrosis\, a lung and digestive disease. I am a typical 28-year-old woman\, who loves makeup\, Taylor Swift\, Disney\, any Bravo show\, and Bay Area sports teams. However\, my life has been filled with doctor visits\, hospital stays\, surgeries\, and medications galore. \n I have always had a rough time with my CF. Growing up I would go into the hospital at least once a year for antibiotics to help my lung function; these are called tune-ups. Yes\, just like your car\, I went in for tune-ups! As I got older\, these became more frequent and so did the irreversible scarring of my lungs.  \n When I was 21\, my lung function plummeted and I was gasping for air. I had a lung infection that was not playing around. Fortunately\, I was able to recover but I was never the same. A few years went by and lung infections became a routine every 3-4 weeks. I was on 24/7 oxygen\, doing so many breathing treatments a day\, and I couldn’t walk but 10 feet without puking from a cough attack. \n When I was 24\, I was told that I needed to be evaluated for a double lung transplant. This devastated me because I had never heard those words in my life. Me? I needed a transplant? This was all new to me. I ended up getting on the list at age 24 on March 12th\, 2014. This didn’t stop me from living. I was able to graduate from college with my BS in Health Science even with having IV’s connected to me every 3 weeks and on 6 liters of oxygen. My dream of meeting Taylor Swift came true during my wait\, and I even started my YouTube Channel\, LUNGS4TIFF\, to help others like me.\n Also\, I started a CF fundraising venture called Salty Cysters with my best friend Lea. \n After waiting 973 days\, on November 30th 2016\, I got my second chance at life thanks to my selfless donor and the wonderful medical professionals at Stanford. Lungs came at the perfect time because we were not sure how long my old ones were going to last. Since surgery\, I have been recovering and breathing with the ability to finally be able to enjoy life in my 20’s.  \n A transplant is not a cure. With transplant comes a lot of medications and other issues which comes with a price tag. Medications\, clinic appointments\, infusions\, tests and hospital stays all cost a lot and can lead to unnecessary stress. Campos Family Vineyards and The ALS Association Greater Sacramento Chapter are launching a new Give Back Series blend in memory of Campos family friend\, Patrick “Quinny” Ornellas\, who lost his battle with ALS\, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease\, ten years ago. It is our shared hope to hold this annual event to raise awareness and support for families living with ALS across Northern California. ALS is a terminal\, nuerodegenerative disease with no known cause or cure. Veterans are  twice as likely to be diagnosed with ALS. The average lifespan after diagnosis is 2-5 years. Every 90 minutes someone is diagnosed with ALS\, and every 90 minutes someone loses their battle with ALS. The ALS Association is the only nonprofit dedicated to fighting ALS on every front\, and your support of events like Country Fest to Beat ALS is vital to fulfilling their mission. Through the services and compassionate care ALS provides\, the policies they advocate for\, and the global research they fund\, they will fulfill their vision of a world without ALS.A portion of the proceeds from the ticket and bar sales will benefit The ALS Association Greater Sacramento Chapter.
